Mkpoikana Otu - Tech Gorilla AuthorByMkpoikana Otu April 18, 2025April 18, 2025

Casting is a convenient way to share content from your devices such as smartphones, tablets, or computers directly onto your TV. It allows you to display videos, photos, apps, and even presentations on a larger screen. Samsung TVs are particularly popular for casting due to their user-friendly interface and compatibility with various devices and platforms. Thinking of how to cast on Samsung TV from your Android device, iPhone, iPad, or from wired alternatives like HDMI? Let’s guide you on how to quickly and easily cast on Samsung TV.

Popular Casting Methods for Samsung TVs

Casting involves transmitting content wirelessly (or via a wired connection) from your device to the TV. Depending on the method you choose, you can either mirror your entire screen (screen mirroring) or cast specific media content like videos or music from supported apps. Samsung TVs support multiple casting methods that are simple to set up and compatible with Android, iOS, Windows, or macOS. The best casting method depends on your device and the type of content you wish to share. Below are some common ways to cast on Samsung TV:

Wi-Fi Direct: This method enables a direct connection between your iOS/Android device and the TV. It’s ideal for quick and easy casting when internet access is limited.

HDMI Connection (Wired Alternative): If wireless options are unavailable or unreliable, an HDMI adapter provides a stable solution for casting on your Samsung TV.

Samsung SmartThings App: The SmartThings app provides a smooth casting experience for Android users. It allows you to control your TV, mirror your screen, and cast media with just a few taps.
