3. You may have changed some settings that are affecting the connection: You might have probably disabled the Android Auto feature on your phone or in the infotainment system of your CR-V.
4. Android Auto not installed or outdated:
Another reason could be that you have not even installed the Android Auto application. Or maybe you have installed it, but you’ve not updated it. Then, the Android Auto would not connect properly.
5. Connected USB port not supported: Finally, this problem can stem from the fact that your USB port does not support the connection.

How to Setup Android Auto on Honda CR-V.

There are several ways you can fix this issue. All you need to do is to follow these steps one by one. If one doesn’t work, don’t get discouraged, just keep trying.
Method 1: Restart Your Phone.
The first method that works every time is restarting your phone.
Sometimes it could just be a temporary glitch; a restart is all your device needs.
Follow the steps below to restart your device;
- Hold the Power button until a menu appears.
- Choose Restart on the menu.

If you have tried methods 1 to 3 and nothing works, you’ll have to update your Android Auto application.
An outdated application could lead to why you’re experiencing these issues. Follow the steps below to update your Android Auto application;
- Go to “Settings” > “System” > “Advanced” > “System Update” to check for Android Auto updates.
- Install any that are available.
- Go to the Google Play Store to check for app updates.
- Tap your profile picture and select “Manage apps & devices” from the list.
- You’ll either see “All apps up to date” if everything is current, or “Updates available”.
- Tap this field if there are any updates ready.
- After updating your Android Auto, you can try opening the Android Auto app on your phone.
Method: 6 Update Honda CR-V infotainment software
After updating the Andriod Auto app, you also need to update the Honda CR-V infotainment software, to avoid any compatibility issues.
- Select the Home > All Apps
- The system will search for the update, and if there’s an available update, the Update icon will appear on the home screen.

- Once the installation is complete, you’ll be notified on your screen.

- It will show you a list of cars you’ve approved or rejected for use with Android Auto.
- Remove the car from the blocked list if you see your car listed amongst the rejected devices.
